| | Stella's Insulated Glass Unit (IGU) provides additional LEED solutions using a point supported glass system. Sensitive to thermal protection and designed to continuously maintain required hermetic seal air gap, especially during the application of point support systems. Stella's IGU System Benefits: - Thermal protection of IGU is not compromised - The IGU's spacer bar and structural silicone act as complimentary insulators maintaining an equilibrium in pressure and difference in temperature between both sides of glass.
- Additional environmental benefits with Low E coating - Coating can be applied to outer pane of glass to reduce risk of scratching.
- Sheer outer face of glass - As Stella glass bolts connect through the inner glass lite, the outer glass presents a sheer face, uninterrupted by fixing bolts.
- Equal load distribution - Stella's through bolting system supports both panels of glass, encouraging each panel to perform independently. This results in equal loads and allows the outer and inner glass to assist one another in resisting wind loads.
- Custom designed to fit your project - Stella offers a variety of IGU solutions. From large pieces of glass to small, we'll design the most appropriate fitting for your project and can offer assistance at all stages of the project, including engineering and technical support.
